At the Last Subcommittee Meeting…
You can find the previous meeting minutes here.
The Education & Workforce Development subcommittee had its last meeting on Thursday, June 17th.
Subcommittee members were presented with the outcomes of the Action Summit including attendee statistics, actions that are on target, what attendees felt was missing, and recommendations/strategies to continue the conversation.
Based on the feedback from the Action Summit, the subcommittee is heading in the right direction and is ready to begin drafting recommendations.
Subcommittee members discussed ways to ensure that their recommendations would successfully move forward. Subcommittee co-chair Ayala stated that increased parent and government involvement in education will help their recommendations move forward.
The education surveys were also discussed, which is specifically looking for feedback from parents and educators. These surveys help assess local needs related to our schools.
