At the Last Subcommittee Meeting…
The Health subcommittee had its last meeting on Thursday, May 26, 2021.
Subcommittee members were updated about Action Summit engagement and outreach efforts and then shared their efforts to promote the Action Summit through their networks. Members also discussed strategies to engage different communities within West Palm Beach.
They reviewed expectations, challenges, and opportunities around drafting the priorities to the Mayor. The main challenges included funding, the sustainability of the recommendation, emergency situation planning, and support for larger health initiatives or major health crises. Members then brainstormed ways to alleviate these challenges, such as funding opportunities.
Members briefly discussed the health survey, which is live on the website.

Upcoming Subcommittee Meeting Information
There will be two virtual Health subcommittee meetings in June.
The first meeting is on Tuesday, June 8th, 2021 from 5:30 – 6:15 p.m. This meeting was shortened because it will serve as a prep session for the June 12th Action Summit.
The next regular subcommittee meeting is Tuesday, June 15th, 2021 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. Members will debrief Action Summit events.
